Is Toxic Mold Making You Sick?
Although there are many varieties of mold that are benign or even beneficial (think of cheese and penicillin), some are very toxic to humans and pets.
Some molds produce extremely potent toxins called mycotoxins. Large amounts of mycotoxins in air can cause serious illnesses like toxicosis (an invasive infection). Some are carcinogenic and believed to cause serious medical conditions.
